High Five! at Five Mile

What is it? A clean-up day at Five Mile Pass, sponsored by the Utah Trail Machine Association (UTMA) in cooperation with the Utah 4WD Association (U4WDA), the BLM, the DNR and Trail Patrol.

When is it? Saturday, May 23, 2009 (Memorial Day Weekend). Signups begin at 8:00 AM, work begins at 9:00AM, FREE lunch at 1:00 PM followed by a drawing for great prizes donated by local off-road merchants. Then we’ll take a short ride to one or two local historic landmarks where we’ll get the 411 on what they are all about.

Who can participate? Just about anyone – we encourage families to come out. We’ve had children as young as 2-3 years old work with their families on previous projects. We aim to make this a fun and productive day!

Why should I participate? Show the BLM and the DNR you care about our riding areas and what good citizens off-roaders are!

What should I bring? Gloves, canteen or other water source, something to ride at the end of the day. Shovels, rakes, etc may also be useful.
