Friday Ride:
Exit 263 go East
It turns into 400 S. in Springville. Go to the 3 way intersection, stay left.
At around Hobble Creek Drive (Map says East Canyon Road) turn South.
Go to 400 N. in Mapleton.
Go East.
You are trying to go up Mapleton Canyon.
Our staging area is at the far East end of Mapleton Campground. The map calls it Whiting Campground.
We will leave there sometime after 9:30 a.m. and ride all day.

Take the Walmart exit.
Go East on 400 South until you get to the very strange 3 or 4 way intersection. Stay right.
Don’t turn into Hobble Creek Golf Course go past it and then stay to the right when the road forks.
It is Approximately 4.2 miles from fork: You are looking for:
Kirkman Hollow: N40 11.429 W111 26.430
It is not marked. I will try to have some UTMA signage.
If the pavement ends, STOP! Turn around and go back. Kirkham Hollow is really only a wide spot in the road.

Saturday, June 16, 9:30 A.M. Riders leave Kirkman Hollow.

We leave going Southeast up to the top of the ridge.

We will follow the ridge about ½ mile and then go down Packard Trail.

Packard Trail goes down and then parallels the Hobble Creek Road.
We will follow it until Chase Creek.
Advanced riders will go down Chase Creek.

Both groups will meet at the West Portal of the Strawberry Tunnel.

West over the Fifth Water Ridge to the Pack Trail.

GENERAL RIDING RULES
All riders must be UTMA members. Membership enrollment kits are available online or at the staging area.
If you can’t afford the $25.00 year for great riding and keeping the trails open we will give you a three month trial membership and convince you that you can afford it!
Stop at all intersections and wait for the rider behind you. We all hate spending the whole day backtracking for lost riders.
When you come upon horse riders, stop, take off your helmet and talk so the horses aren’t spooked.
Ride only on open trails.
Bring water and lunch.
Our rides are for exploring and scenic value. We are not racing.
Be sure your bike is registered and has a spark arrester on it.
Ride length varies. There are bail outs if you get low on fuel or energy!
